Culture Force consultants join forces to provide a full flexible service for cultural organisations. A limited company, founded in the World Heritage City of Bath, we work across the UK.
Helen's vision in forming the Culture Force team is to offer individual well managed projects that increase visitor numbers and participation,understanding and and enjoyment. Helen works with Culture Force consultants and our valued clients to select the best professional or team for a project. We are particularly interested in creative programmes that improve and promote wellbeing.

Helen Horler BA (Hons) PGCE PGCert AMA - Creative Director, consultant, trainer Helen has worked in the heritage and cultural sectors for 20years and is a qualified teacher. Experienced in a wide range of organisations from multi-award winning Brunel's ss Great Britain to managing the education programmes across the South West for English Heritage, Helen adapts her approach to suit each organisation and its goals.
Helen specialises in devising, planning and evaluating projects funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England including guiding up to 300 volunteers at a time through major change. A former senior manager at The Bishop's Palace, Somerset and trustee of cultural organisations including the South West Fed, Helen has a proven track record of working collaboratively to fundraise, write successful strategies and deliver a range of projects.
Helen has extensive experience of developing programmes for new audiences; in particular award-winning learning programmes. Holding a first class degree in illustration, Helen creates illustrated resources for clients including The Royal Collection Trust's national exhibition 'Leonardo 500'. Helen volunteers as a Sandford Award judge for the Heritage Education Trust.
Tamsin Mosse B Ed (Hons) - Community Engagement Consultant Tamsin is a skilled community engagement specialist. She has extensive experience working in a visitor services focused role and has worked with volunteers throughout her career, originally starting out as a teacher. She is particularly enthusiastic about creating volunteering opportunities that involve the whole family as well as those that concentrate on wellbeing. Tamsin brings a sound understanding of marketing and communications to maximise project reach.
Beth Thomas MA (Hons) MBA - Associate Heritage Management Consultant Beth has over 20 years’ experience working in heritage and arts organisations including English Heritage and Historic England managing a range of properties across the South West and West Midlands. Beth is highly organised and skilled at project, partnership, and stakeholder management. Former Head of Operations for English Heritage, Beth’s experience ensures projects are delivered in good time and underpinned by depth of research. Working regionally and nationally as Stonehenge’s former World Heritage Site Coordinator. Beth’s skills have been requested internationally in creating site management plans. Beth has recently led fundraising campaigns and delivering projects funded by both Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Michael Loader B Ed - Interpretation Trainer, Storyteller and Live Interpretation Michael works and plays in the realms of Education, Storytelling and Theatre and created the Somerset Storyfest in 2012. Michael thrives on working with a variety of people and has held residence as storyteller in hospitals and worked in various live interpretation roles, being asked back year after year.
Michael's fun approach to training and facilitation empowers all he works with, bringing powerful results that have a direct impact on visitor experience. His work has taken him to the streets of Germany, the corporate world of Switzerland, personal development in Spain and telling stories in a dark cave!
Louisa Aldridge MSci, PGCE, MEd - Associate Education Consultant Louisa has 15 years experience of teaching science; engaging children aged 5 to 19 in innovative science experiences both in the classroom and beyond including working in the team creating cross-curricular education resources for Field Studies Council and Arcelor Mittal and the Museum of English Rural Life. Louisa has extensive experience of planning and delivering a wide range of training programmes, from individual coaching to workshops for over 50 teachers and is a Specialised Leader in Education and works collaboratively with Science Learning Centres delivering CPD. As an Assistant Head Teacher and Head of Science she has also led teachers through considerable change and enjoys support organisations seeking to develop their staff or volunteers.
Angela Frankham BA (Hons)- Model Maker & Animator
Graduating with a First class BA Hons in Animation Angela has worked as a model maker at Mackinnon & Saunders including high profile productions such as Corpse Bride, Pingu and Bob the Builder. Remember those infamous Dairylea Adverts and the Duracell Bunny? Angela was involved in those and worked for Aardman Animation on the 'Change for life' adverts. Angela prides herself on high quality work and runs regular animation workshops teaching children the magic of stop frame animation developing children’s creative and storytelling skills.
Ed Drewitt BSc MSc -Associate Learning Advisor Ed Drewitt is a naturalist, learning advisor and wildlife detective – Ed loves helping others to discover and enjoy the natural world. Ed has worked as part of the Culture Force team on a range of projects including ‘A Forgotten Landscape’ and with our clients the Woodland Trust and The Museum of English Rural Life. Highly experienced and a natural communicator, Ed has engaged people for the past 20 years starting his career at Bristol Zoo and Bristol Museums. Today, Ed leads bird focused courses and develops high quality resources for a range of organisations. A skilled researcher, Ed has been studying peregrines over two decades and subsequently published his book 'Urban Peregrines' and a second in 2020; and holds a Masters for his research.
Interactive Designers and Handling object sourcing Culture Force works with a selection of reliable suppliers of bespoke audio visual interactives.
We designed and installed Chiltern Open Air Museum's talking well and a chronological timeline of scented clothes on a washing line. We have worked with several museums and UK wide organisations including the National Trust creating reminiscence boxes for older people with handling objects and beautiful replica scones and pleasant aromas! We appreciate this might need a little explanation...
